Selection
Below are AC and DC power
solenoid selection tables to help choose the best
possible solenoid for the job. The engineer needs to
pick the smallest solenoid which gives the required
force, stroke and input power. Choose from the
available ranges of solenoids Runton Engineering
produces below and follow to the appropriate data
sheet. Then select a suitable coil resistance from
the Coil Selection table. This will give a part
number with which to start. Contact Runton
Engineering for further ordering information.
Usually there are other
considerations, which are mentioned in the
Application Information (Data Sheet 23). These are
usually worked out between our sales engineers and
the customer's engineer.
